State Early Learning Alliance of New Hampshire
About Us
The State Early Learning Alliance (SELA) of NH is a groundbreaking, economy-of-scale model for child care, early childhood education (ECE), Head Start, and outside-of-school-time (OST) or afterschool programs to come together to strengthen business practices and share services, buying power and clout in order to support their quality efforts and give the children they serve a better start. SELA is a program of Early Learning NH.
Member programs experience tangible benefits for their programs as well as for their staff and the families they serve. Time and cost savings are significant, and the collaborative work and resources on quality are equally meaningful.
SELA was first dreamed up by a group of pioneering child care and Head Start directors on the Seacoast. Foundational support to form and continue to build SELA's innovative and unique design first came from the United Way of the Greater Seacoast, now a part of Granite United Way. In 2017, NH DHHS' Bureau of Child Development and Head Start Collaboration supported further customization of this SELA web platform to be more responsive to the needs of ECE, OST and Head Start programs in the Granite State.
